Ideas for Game Installation

Just some Ideas


I'm envisioning a variety of board games and retro video games coming together in a nostalgic collision.

List of board games:

• Candy Land
• Game of Life
• Chutes and Ladders
• Card Games
• Hungry Hungry Hippos

List of Video games:

• Tetris
• Space Invader
• Pac Man
• Super Mario

The guests will be the players, the characters in the game. However, we could make props such as hats or crowns to suggest being a certain character.

Floor Ideas:

• TETRIS
• Distorted checker board
• Candy Land walkway

Props for on/off installation

• Hungry Hippos, wearable mask
• Game of Life Cars
• Game of Life people Pegs
• Big Dice Blocks
• Tetris pieces
• Lollipops and gumdrops
  

Ideas for game in hallway:

• Jenga

Installation Big Picture:

• Life sized games
• Candy land being taken over by Space Invader aliens
• aliens would be hung up while being shot down by ship
• Maybe video games VS board games?
• Ladder Illusion, climbing up through the floor
• Guests popping up from Super Mario Pipes, next to a piranha plant!
